Sunny Challenges & Creations

Hi all

As some of you know I am at home right now looking after a torn tendon in my shoulder, so I need some things to do, there is only so much T.V you can watch and books you can read, so I am teaching myself to do a little left handed stamping. Some are not bad, some not so good haha, but today's one I dont mind and have decided to enter it into a challenge over at Sunny Challenges & Creations .
The layout is below and had to be black and white.

So my take on the black and white theme is below. Of course how can you do black and white without bling, well I cant it screams bling me!!!

The bottom is black embossing a new stamp set called Flowering Flourishes, a bit of black card stock, a touch of ribbon and the bling and I was done, not bad for a right hand person doing it left handed.  Maybe I could make double the amount of cards when I am back to being two handed HAHA.

August Blog Hop - Technique

Hi all

Welcome to our monthly blog hop that I do with some lovely ladies. We are all Stampin' Up demonstrators, but more importantly we are all friends. Great thing craft does is you meet so many like minded people.

Anyway on to our blog hop. This month we are bringing you different techniques. You may have just hopped over from Di Dunks talented home of the web, if you havent and you are starting here, not to worry, keep following the links at the bottom of each page and you will do a complete circle seeing everyone wonderful work and end up back at the start. Feel free to leave a comment at the end of the page to let us know you have come for a visit.

The technique I am showing you today is bleaching, yes household bleach and cardstock.
This is a card I have made using Growing Green(pg 66 of the 2011-2012 catalogue) by embossing the stamped image with gold embossing then using my aqua painter (pg 147) filled with everyday household bleach and painted the inside of the leaves. Once dried ou can see the colour it has become. Below is a before and after of the stamped image. I love this set, if you do too, you need to be quick as it is retiring at the end of this month, so let me know if you want this ordered or anything from the retiring list on the righthand side of the blog before they run out.

Each different colour cardstock gives you a different effect. I have quickly coloured some images from our Elements of Style(pg 94) set to show you the effects on other colours.
Well thats it from me today, dont forget if you want new catalogue or wish to order, feel free to email me or call (03) 8711 4401 (from anywhere is Australia) and I can get this straight to your door.

I cant wait to see what wonderfully talented friend Kathryn Ruddick has to show us, are you coming? Im going to grab a cuppa and enjoy the rest of the blog, I hope you enjoy it as much as I know I will.

Things to come

Hi all ,

Thought I would pop in here to say a quick hi and let you know what is coming up. I had a little time off to look after my daughter for a while but now but up and going. We had our very first Heartfelt Stampin Up day in Melbourne which was where we could bring our customers along to join in the fun and learn lots of new techniques and so many more ideas.

We have two AMAZING new catalogues coming out very soon - 1st of September actually. The first time our catalogues have been nearly identical to the American ones. Our main catalogue has some wonderful new items in it, and not all for the paper crafter, there is material, ribbons, buttons and even cookie molds!!!

If you want to get your hands on one of these catalogues feel free to email me or call me from anywhere in Australia on 03 8711 4401 and i can get one of these to you ASAP. Want to get some of the product for free??? Have a party, we can show your friends how to make a card and at end you will be able to choose product out of the catalogue or hostess only items for free (sales permitting). Its a great way to get together with your friends and show them what you love to do and get them to love it too.

Dont forget to click on the retiring stock on the right hand column if there is something you want, dont hesitate to contact me because once they are gone, they are gone forever.

We have a new blog hop starting on the 25th of this month with some lovely ladies, this month will be all about techniques. A great hop to learn so many new ideas.

Well until then keep creating and if there is anything at all I can help you with in your crafty world just email or phone and we can get it done together!!!

Hello Ladies and Gents,

There is a blog hop this month, the theme is masculine, but due to family issues I am unable to participate in this months so please keep hopping over to Tina's gorgeous page, and I will see you next month.

Bakers Twine Bloghop

Hello there...I am here doing the June blog hop with some ladies i am proud to call my friends. We are from all over Australia, how did we all meet I here you ask? We are all demonstrators for Stampin Up. So creating and having fun is one of the things I loved when joining up.

Today we are doing our hop with the theme of bakers twine. It is not ribbon and it is not string, just a little in between, LOL. You may have come hopping over from my good friend Christine Blain, and I can tell you now I can never keep up with this lady...Truely talented is all I have to say about that :-)
If you havent come from there, not to worry keep following the links at the end of each page and you will do a complete circle and end up back where you started, so you miss nothing.

I found this hop a big challenging coming up with something a bit different, so looking around the net I saw shapes sewn onto the cards and this is how I came up with my creation.

I am a sucker for Xmas cards :-) Above is the front, inside and a close up of the bling. Bakers twine has been used to make the xmas tree on the front and the bauble strings inside.

Well have to let you keep hopping, I am off to look too at what the amazing creations the ladies have made. I will meet you over at the next gorgeous page which belongs to Di Dunk. Dont forget to let the ladies know you have been by and seen their works of art, we all love to know when we have had visitors.
If you wish to know more about my cards, how to order the items used, get a catalogue or want to know more about Stampin Up please contact me on phone (03 8711 4401) or Email, I am happy to help you from anywhere in Australia.
Until next time.
Happy Stampin'

2012 Convention - Canberra

Hi all, what a last week I had. We had our annual Stampin Up convention in Canberra this year and it was terrific. I met up with friends I have talked to but havent seen since last convention and met some lovely new people also.
I stayed with another 7 ladies in some appartments we rented for the week, it was wonderful catching up with them.

Convention was, well....WOW!!! Swapped cards with lots of ladies, got some great ideas for upcoming workshops.

Shelli and the team came over from Utah and the theme this year was "I AM". This was a powerful theme as not only did it make me look at myself as a demonstrator, it made me look at myself for ME. Shelli always says some very inspiring things and this time she did not disappoint.
We listened to a young man names Michael McQueen, who I thought was fantastic, he talked about understanding the different generations, from baby boomers to Gen Y and Gen Z. I learnt alot about my kids and other people in my life on how they see things. For a 30 year old and a Gen Y himself, he was a very informative and interesting talker.

Makes and Takes is always a great highlight of convention and this year they were wonderful as well, so many sneak peaks from the new Catalogue...wow now there is another big thing, our catalogue, we are going to be getting a who lot more than we are use to, which is so good. We are aligning with the American market, cant wait for all the new and gorgeous new stamp sets and tools (thats all I can say with out giving it away). Our new catalogue will be 30pages more and you will no longer have to buy it, so if you want to be on the waiting list for a new one as soon as they are available, email me and let me pop you on the list.

I had my photo take not once but twice with Shelli our CEO and co-founder from Utah. It was my aim to get back into a dress I havent worn in 14yrs, and well....I DID IT!!! So why not celebrate with a few pictures take at one of our sessions and one at our lovely dinner that Stampin Up put on for the awards night.
Lots of fun times at convention, lots of free new stamp sets and other items and a new I am creative class which was big season on just making a advent calendar using new DSP, stamp sets etc....so as you can see we all went home filled to the brim with lots of lovely new sets to play with.
Next year is in Brisbane and I cant wait, our insentive trip this year is all expenses paid to the home office in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. I am aiming high this year, so if you would like to come have fun and join our team let me know, by email or on the phone (03 8711 4401 or 0411 260 583) from anywhere in Australia. Its not all about 3 days a year at convention, we have a great time all year round with get togethers, a community on own forum where we help each other out with things like support for helping our team grow, a sounding board for ideas, ears when we just need someone to listen to us and chit chat about our every day life, team swaps and ideas and the most important, great friendships.

Anyway off to go look at all the great swaps I got from convention and the 100's of photos I took. Once I get them all sorted I will post up pics of my won swaps.

Until next time....HAPPY STAMPIN!!!

Alisha

Hi all welcome to a new blog hop with my Stampin up friends. Today we are showing off anything made with DSP. DSP is our designer series paper, there are so many beautiful collections to choose from and at the moment if you join you get free DSP for the rest of the year!!!

Thanks for dropping by. If you have any questions about the DSP or the offer that is on about getting FREE DSP for the rest of the year contact me here or on my phone (03) 8711 4401 from anywhere in Australia.

DSP ~ So many to love

Today I am part of an Art with Heart Stampin Up Team blog hop, where some of the girls in the team have got together to show off our lovely Designer Series Paper Packs on special during May!
We have a great team of crafters right throughout Australia who communicate and share online and in person at stamping days. We would love to have new members join our team.
From today, it's only $169 to become a demonstrator and you can choose anything you like to go in your kit! You can contact me from anywhere in Australia on 03 8711 4401 or email me at ratherbstamping@yahoo.com.au anytime and I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

You may have just popped over from the lovely Di Dunks page, but dont worry if you haven't, if you follow the links at the end of each post you will make a complete circle of all the lovely talented ladies homes on the web and end up back where you started.

I normally do cards but today I have done a page for my mum, since it close to mothers day and her birthday. I am using a gorgeous page of DSP (Designer Series Paper) called twitterpated out of our new Autumn~Winter mini.

I have used a technique called floating photo to eventually make a 4 page spread, as you can see from the last 2 photo's the background is different, this is because it is see through and the page behind can show off whatevere gorgeous DSP you have.

Ok, I now have to share you with everyone else, so it is off to the home of the wonderful Sue Madex to see what gorgeous things she has to show us today. Enjoy and come back soon.

Ladies that are in the blog hop today are:

Saturday 28 April 2012

Hi All,
Welcome to the first blog hop on my new website. Today a few Stampin Up Demonstators who are also great friends of mine have got together to bring you some lovely items from our new Autumn/winter mini. I would have to say it is one of my fav's so far. I just can't resist anything in it, its all way to gorgeous.
Anyway back to the hop. You may have just hopped over from the lovely Di Dunk's home on the web. If you didnt, not to worry, keep foloowing the link at the bottom of each page and you will see everyones items along way. Dont forget to leave them a message to let them know you popped by to have a look, we all love to know when we have had visitors.
I have used a few things from the new mini to make all these cards. Our new edgelit dies and matching textured embossing folders, the stunning DSP is twitterpated and the stamp set Apothecary Art. I have tried to use them 'NOT' in the standard way to give it a different look.

You can see underneath how different just a colour change can make them.
My last cards have used the same DSP dies and folders but have used a stamp set called Rue Des Fleurs, which is stunning. I have used the well scripted stamp set from the main catalogue for the wording and I have used a wonderfully welcomed new "Simply Scored" to do the scored lines around the edges. This is a must have item for all paper crafters. So so handy.

A little bling around the edges and they are done, so quick to make.

Anyway I have to share you with everyone else so now it is off to the talented Kathryn Mangelsdorf's page to see what she has made for us.
If you have any questions about my products or items contact me
and we can talk.
Anyway I'm heading over to Kathryn's, see you there!!!
